Washington, D.C. – The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) announces Taylor Camille Altidor, PharmD, MHSA as the 2026-2027 William Ellis Executive Fellow, part of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Executive Postgraduate Training Cohort.
In 2025, the BPS Board of Directors voted to rename the APhA/BPS Executive Fellowship after William Ellis, the BPS Executive Director from 2011-2025; the 2026-2027 executive fellowship year marks the first year of the newly renamed BPS William Ellis Executive Fellowship. The Board also approved a one-time $5,000 donation to the Ellis Family Scholarship administered by the APhA Foundation. The renamed executive fellowship and donation honors Ellis’ contributions to BPS and his commitment to developing pharmacy and credentialing leaders.
“We are pleased to welcome Taylor to the team and look forward to supporting her leadership growth. Through the executive fellowship experience, Taylor will have the opportunity to expand her knowledge and skills by gaining firsthand exposure to the issues shaping the certification and association management communities,” said Brian Lawson, BPS Executive Director.
Altidor joins the APhA and BPS teams for a year-long executive fellowship in association management and professional certification operations. She will contribute to strategic goals and learn about the value of board certification and its role in the broader pharmacy landscape. Altidor earned her PharmD and Master’s in Health Service Administration from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Florida A&M University. Throughout pharmacy school, Altidor was an active member with APhA and the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA). She also served as the 2025 Southeast Province Chaplain with Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity and on the 2022-2025 Executive Support Team with the National Pharmaceutical Association.

The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) was established in 1976 as an autonomous division of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). The mission of BPS is to improve patient care by positioning BPS Board-Certified Pharmacist Specialists as integral members of interprofessional healthcare teams, through recognition and promotion of specialized training, knowledge, and skills for pharmacists in the United States and internationally. Board certification is a recognized credential for determining which pharmacists are qualified to contribute at advanced practice levels given the rigorous standards mandated by BPS board certification and recertification. As of the end of 2025, BPS recognized more than 63,400 pharmacist certifications across 16 specialties.
