BPS Office Closures
BPS observes scheduled federal holidays and follows U.S. Federal government guidance for weather-related or emergency closures. Response times may be impacted.
BPS Scheduled Office Closures
BPS observes all U.S. Federal government holidays with the exception of Veterans Day. Veterans Day will have an early departure time of 2:00 PM.
BPS is closed on the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Presidents’ Day
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Indigenous People’s Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Day after Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
- New Year’s Eve
- Inauguration Day (during Presidential inauguration year)
Holidays that occur on a Saturday will be observed on the previous Friday, and holidays that occur on a Sunday will be observed on the following Monday.
BPS Unscheduled and Special Office Closures
BPS will be guided by U.S. Federal government practices through the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) for unscheduled office closures, delayed openings, and early releases due to adverse weather conditions.
Please note, response times for inquiries may be delayed during scheduled and unscheduled closures.
