2023 Continuously Available Testing
Continuous Testing registration is currently available for BCCP, BCNP, BCPP, and BCOP.
Continuous testing appointments are available and ongoing for BCCP, BCNP, and BCPP .
Continuous testing appointments for BCOP will be available starting Monday, August 28.
*In order to help ensure the greatest probability that candidates receive their preferred test date and site, BPS recommends registering as early as possible.

Fees
Certification Application Fees
Certification application fees are as follows:
- The fee for first-time applicants for specialty certification is $600 USD.
- The Certification examination retake application fee is $300 USD. Only candidates who have failed the certification exam within the past year are eligible for this $300 USD reduced rate.
Recertification Application Fees
Recertification application fees are as follows:
- The recertification application fee is $400 USD.
- The Recertification examination retake application fee is $200 USD. Only candidates who have failed the recertification exam within the past year are eligible for this $200 USD reduced rate.
Annual Certification Maintenance Fees
To maintain your BPS Board Certification and remain in good standing, the payment of an Annual Certification Maintenance Fee is required for all BPS board certified pharmacists. The annual maintenance fee is currently $125 USD.
The mission of the Board of Pharmacy Specialties is to improve patient care by promoting the recognition and value of specialized training, knowledge, and skills in pharmacy and specialty board certification of pharmacists. BPS works diligently to educate pharmacists, other health professionals, and the public about specialty certification and the value it brings.
The annual certification maintenance fee supports the BPS mission by funding the ongoing work of BPS on behalf of its certified specialists:
- Maintenance of current, credible certification examinations
- Maintenance of recertification examinations and related processes
- Research on the impact and value of certification
- Exploring new specialty certifications.
A notice for the annual fee will be sent via email to all certificants in May of each year. Payments are due within 45 days of notification. Please note that pharmacists holding more than one BPS certification are assessed only one annual fee, and certificants are not required to pay the annual fee in their recertification year.
Failure to pay the annual fee results in removal of the individual’s name from the official roster of all board-certified pharmacists, available on the BPS website. Upon applying for recertification, all outstanding annual fees and a $5 USD penalty fee for each late payment is due. Failure to pay the annual certification maintenance fees may result in suspension of the certification.
