Washington D.C. – The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) announces open applications for the 2027 cohort of the BPS Ambassador Program. BPS Board-Certified Pharmacists interested in sharing their journey to obtaining and maintaining BPS Board Certification may apply using this link by Friday, June 12, 2026.
Applications will include a video submission (less than five minutes) that will be reviewed by a selection committee comprised of members of the BPS Board of Directors. Up to five pharmacists will be selected to share how board certification has influenced their career, including improvements in patient care, interprofessional collaboration, employer perception, professional growth, career advancement, and additional practice authority.
Each ambassador will engage with BPS for up to two years and participate in various activities, including but not limited to a video series hosted on the BPS website, leadership blogs, podcasts, panel discussions, and other spokesperson roles. All ambassadors receive media and communications training as part of the BPS Ambassador Program. Responsibilities include attending virtual training sessions, completing video assignments, and promoting the value of BPS Certification at virtual and/or in-person opportunities.
Any board-certified pharmacist interested in sharing their unique perspective on the value of BPS Board Certification is encouraged to apply. Each application will be reviewed based on background, practice experience, commitment to BPS Board Certification, storytelling ability, and interest level to participate in a range of activities.

The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) was established in 1976 as an autonomous division of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). The mission of BPS is to improve patient care by positioning BPS Board-Certified Pharmacist Specialists as integral members of interprofessional healthcare teams, through recognition and promotion of specialized training, knowledge, and skills for pharmacists in the United States and internationally.
