Washington D.C. – The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) has released a request for proposals (RFP) to provide a professional development program (PDP) for the recertification of board-certified pain management pharmacists (BCPMP). This RFP concerns continuing pharmacy education (CPE) and does not concern continuing professional development (CPD) activities.

The first administration of the BCPMP certification examination will take place in October 2025. The approved proposals will be awarded contracts for a five-year period beginning January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2030. The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) was established in 1976 as an autonomous division of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA).
