Washington D.C. – The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) is pleased to announce that BPS is an approved certification provider for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Licensing and Certification Test Reimbursement Program.
Eligible Veterans, service members, and their qualified dependents may now seek reimbursement for BPS Board Certification Examination fees by submitting VA Form 22-0803.
“This approval expands access to advanced professional credentials for eligible pharmacists who have served or are serving our nation,” said Avis Bullard, MS, ASQ-CSSBB, BPS Senior Director of Quality Assurance. “BPS is proud to support veterans and eligible beneficiaries in advancing their professional and clinical expertise through board certification.”
VA beneficiaries who qualify for education benefits under programs such as the Post 9/11 GI Bill®, Montgomery GI Bill®, or Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance (DEA) may request reimbursement for approved certification testing costs, including BPS examinations, after taking the exam. Reimbursement requests must be submitted directly to the VA using VA Form 22 0803, along with required documentation such as payment receipts and exam results or certification confirmation. [va.gov]
