Washington, D.C. – The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for examination administration services. Interested parties may complete this form to express interest in viewing the RFP document. Proposals are due by Tuesday, August 20 at 5:00pm EST.
The chosen examination administration services provider would service pharmacists interested in BPS certification and recertification examinations. The provider should have the ability to deliver exams at both testing centers and via Live Remote Proctoring in compliance with NCCA Accreditation Standards.
“BPS has issued this RFP to ensure that the services we provide to our candidates and certificants continue to meet their needs. We look forward to identifying the appropriate partner for our certification and recertification examination services.” said BPS Executive Director, William M. Ellis, MS, RPh, ICE-CCP.
The approved provider will be awarded a contract for 3 years beginning January 2026 and ending December 2028. All information required to respond to this request can be found in the RFP.

About the Board of Pharmacy Specialties
The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) was established in 1976 as an autonomous division of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). The mission of BPS is to improve patient care by positioning BPS Board-Certified Pharmacist Specialists as integral members of multidisciplinary healthcare teams, through recognition and promotion of specialized training, knowledge, and skills for pharmacists in the United States and internationally.
