Washington, D.C. – The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) is proud to announce the 2026 BPS Ambassadors with their video stories sharing their journey with BPS Board Certification. The five board-certified pharmacists selected to join the BPS Ambassadors are: Kimmy Nguyen, PharmD, BCACP, BC-ADM, TTS; Lauren Pamulapati, PharmD, BCACP; Richard J. Silvia, PharmD, MA, BCPP, FCCP, FAAPP; Roshawn Watson, PharmD, PhD, BCPS; and Paige Mathew, PharmD, BCPS, BCGP.
“Every pharmacist’s journey to BPS Board Certification is unique. We’re proud to highlight these pharmacists as they share what inspired them to pursue certification, why they continue to maintain it, and how they hope to encourage others as they navigate their own BPS Board Certification journey,” said Anita Siu, PharmD, BCPPS, BPS Board of Directors Chair.
The BPS Ambassador program was created in 2020 to spotlight pharmacist specialists and the impact of board certification on their career, patient interactions, interprofessional teams, and/or professional development. The program amplifies unique voices and perspectives in the discussion of pharmacist board certification.
The 2026 BPS Ambassadors share their personal journey in pharmacy and their path to board certification within the following videos:
- Paige Mathew, PharmD, BCPS, BCGP; Texas, USA
- Finding My Sense of Purpose, with BPS Board Certification: In this video, Paige Mathew, PharmD, BCPS, BCGP shares her journey to board certification and its impact on her growth as a pharmacist. She discusses the motivation that helped her achieve certification, her perseverance through a second attempt at the examination for one of her certifications, and how receiving the passing outcome reignited her passion for patient care. Dr. Mathew reflects on how board certification has given her a renewed sense of purpose, strengthened her knowledge, and provided an opportunity to continuously learn and grow.

About the Board of Pharmacy Specialties
The Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) was established in 1976 as an autonomous division of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). The mission of BPS is to improve patient care by positioning BPS Board-Certified Pharmacist Specialists as integral members of interprofessional healthcare teams, through recognition and promotion of specialized training, knowledge, and skills for pharmacists in the United States and internationally. Board certification is a recognized credential for determining which pharmacists are qualified to contribute at advanced practice levels given the rigorous standards mandated by BPS board certification and recertification. As of the end of 2025, BPS recognized more than 63,400 pharmacist certifications across 17 specialties.
